Because the PTE Academic is a computerised test, candidates must be adept with using a computer, mainly accurately typing at a decent speed.
The minimum typing speed you need to complete your writing tasks is around 15 words per minute. The average typing speed when using only 2 fingers is 30 words per minute. This means that you can complete the writing tasks in time without any difficulty. Typing test 1 minute will undoubtedly provide you with an advantage, particularly in the Writing and Listening sections of your PTE test preparation, when candidates are expected to type their responses.
